There were announcements to begin with The Board of Director's meeting to be held on the 14 of May 2012 at 6.30pm at the the Bunga Raya Restaurant, Royal Lake Club. Our President Elect announced the coming Installation Night to be on the Saturday14 of July 2012 at the Renaissance Hotel. The Rotary Club of Tanglin, our sister club of Singapore shall be holding their installation on Thursday the 19 of July 2012.

Our newest member Rtn Peter Arhebamen was presented the TRF award at the meeting.

This was followed by an interesting classification talk by our newest member Rtn David Rainton on his sojourn in Nigeria in the 70's. He recalled his adventure at gunpoint, where he was brought into an outpost to meet the officer-in-charge, only to find that they were requested to purchase raffle tickets. They bought all the tickets and were escorted back to their vehicle but were stopped abruptly and had to return at gunpoint to the post. This time they thought that they were in for it.!! The officer then told them that they had not written their addresses on the tickets, in case any of them should win the raffle. They had a lot of writing to do after buying all the tickets.

The meeting ended shortly after with the President closing the meeting.
